My associations with South Asia were always from the media I consumed. I pictured frenetic cities, weaving motorbikes, crowded train stations, forts, spicy food, Bollywood dancing, beautifully vivid clothing and that all-encompassing sense that there was somebody on your every side.
Well, from our outings to the Maldives local islands and Sri Lanka, my imagination could not have been more wrong (apart from the clothes and food – that’s been incredible)!
Below are our experiences from adventuring around these two, incredible countries.
