Malaysia, so often skipped by Banana Pancake backpackers, is an extraordinary country (with a conspicuous lack of tourists).
Our recent, third visit to this southeast Asian nation has cemented our adoration for the unique mixture of cultures, with its eclectic culinary scene and distinctly Malaysian (whatever that is!) architecture.
Most of all, though, it’s the welcoming warmth we always receive – Malaysia feels like a place that we would love to live.
So, if you’ve travelled southeast Asia and think you’ve seen it all – give Malaysia a try – it’s an entire other world (one that we’re sure you’ll love).
